Receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve analysis to test the ability of adiponectin (A) and leptin (B) to identify patients who developed PTS (n = 83) during two-year follow-up. Optimal cutoffs and area under the curve (AUC) were of 0.8 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.75–0.85; cutoff, 12.8 µg ml−1) for adiponectin and 0.82 (95% CI, 0.77–0.87; cutoff, 32.1 ng ml−1) for leptin.
