The foreperiod effect. Saccadic latency decreased as a function of increasing delay duration in controls (A), Parkin (B) and iPD patients (C, ON-OFF group; D, OFF-ON group). Although saccadic latency could be affected by treatment, the foreperiod effect itself (the decreasing saccadic latency with increasing foreperiod duration) was not affected by dopaminergic medication. Data from subjects tested twice (visit 1 & visit 2).
