(b) Shows simultaneous recordings obtained from the same neurons after combined superfusion of synaptic blockers. Calibration bars apply to a and b. The neuron in 1 became regular as shown in the autocorrelograms in (c). Neurons in 2 and 3 were inhibited. The neuron in 4 increased its regularity as shown in autocorrelogram (d). Coefficients of variation (CV) before (Pre-) and after (Post-) synaptic blockade are shown in brackets.
