Fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS) and high throughput mRNA-sequencing (RNA-Seq) for two observed populations of fused cells. Co-cultured BMMs from Ctsk-Cre mice and RosamTmG mice were osteoclastogenically induced for 8 days. A FACS procedure was then used to separate and sort cells with mono-green fluorescence (G cells) and cells both with green and red fluorescence proteins (A). After being subjected to mRNA-seq (C), the TG cells and the G cells were found to have 9879 common genes. But 379 exclusive genes were expressed in the TG cells whereas 358 exclusive genes were expressed in the G cells (B).
