(a) TH+ neurons were found on the non-lesioned side of substantia nigra across all animals. (b) Whereas almost no TH+ neurons or fibers were evident within the substantia nigra on the 6-OHDA lesioned side of vehicle-treated animals (typified by rat #886), post-treatment with PT302 partially protected TH+ neurons (c,e,f from rats #881, #8875 and #882, respectively).
