RAW 264.7 cells were treated with NC-8 to determine cytotoxicity. (A) NC-8 structural formula. The molecular weight of NC-8 is 346.51. (B) Cell viability tests were performed by MTT detection. RAW 264.7 cells were cultured at different concentrations of NC-8. After 3, 6, 9, and 12 days, MTT reagents were added to each well, and the absorbances were measured at 550 nm; the cell viability was then calculated. The results are expressed as the mean ± S.E.M. of four independent experiments. *p < 0.05, **p < 0.005 compared with the control group.
