COX-2 up-regulates SSTR-2 expression via the PKC/p38–CREB signaling pathway. (A,B) Levels of SSTR-2 in L02 cells, as determined by Western blotting. Cells were treated with DMSO or p38 (2 μM) or PKC (2 μM) inhibitors 4 hours after transfection with the COX-2 overexpression plasmid. Cells in the control group were transfected with the empty pcDNA3.1 plasmid. n = 3 samples per group. The group of blots was cropped from different gels. *P < 0.05 compared with the control cells, #P < 0.05 compared with DMSO-treated L02 cells that were transfected with the COX-2 overexpression plasmid.
