mRNA expression levels of the immune response-associated genes (IL15, CCL5, IL1A, IL23R and TLR5) by Gjb2 c.148 G > A (Cx26-D50N)-transfected HaCaT cells. Relative mRNA expression levels of Gjb2 WT-transfected HaCaT cells and Gjb2 c.148 G > A (Cx26-D50N)-transfected cells were determined by real-time PCR. The results are expressed as the amount of mRNA normalized to GAPDH endogenous expression compared to control values (expression levels of Gjb2 WT-transfected cells). mRNA expression levels of IL15, CCL5, IL1A, IL23R and TLR5 were significantly decreased by the transfection of Gjb2 c.148 G > A (Cx26-D50N) compared with the transfection of Gjb2 WT (*p < 0.01 (n = 3); p < 0.05 (n = 3)). Data are presented as values calculated by the Delta-Delta-Ct (DDCt) method. The statistical significance between groups was assessed using paired Student’s t-test. Error bars represent the standard error of the mean.
