Fundus photographs following a single PUT treatment on a rabbit choroid up to 4 weeks after the treatment. Blue circles indicate the treated area. (a) The fundus photo taken before the PUT treatment. (b) The fundus photo taken immediately after the PUT treatment. The blood vessel margins in the treated area appeared blurry. (c) The fundus photo taken at 1 week after the PUT treatment. Pallor occurred in the region of treatment with largely diminished choroidal vessels. (df) The photos taken at 2, 3, and 4 weeks, respectively, after the PUT treatment. The reduction in choroidal vessels persisted until week 4. Ultrasound: 0.5 MPa at 0.5 MHz; Laser: 75 mJ/cm2 at retina surface.
