Patient identification numbers, as well as their age, gender, S. aureus proven syndrome, any co-morbid medical conditions are included for all patients selected for the protein array, in addition to the number of days between acute clinical presentation and both the short-term and long-term follow-up visits. Patients in the SSTI cohort provided additional information such as prior and subsequent S. aureus infections or antibiotic courses prior to enrollment, as well as patient-reported duration of symptoms that preceded the day of enrollment.
