Representative horizontal SD-OCT images of an eye with S-NPDR before and 1, 4, 8, and 12 weeks after PRP with the conventional laser and the PASCAL at the macula (A). The SFCT at Week 1 was significantly thicker than that before PRP in the conventional laser and the PASCAL group, and the SFCT was significantly decreased in the both groups at 8 and 12 weeks after PRP (B). The trend of the changes in the SFCT was similar in both groups, and there was no significant difference between the groups (C).
