Rat body weight gain with oxaliplatin and Vitis vinifera treatments. Animals were treated daily i.p. with 2.4 mg kg−1 of oxaliplatin. Vitis vinifera extract (300 mg kg−1) was daily per os administered starting from the first day of oxaliplatin injection. Body weight was measured on day 0, 14 and 21 after the beginning of the experiment. Each value represents the mean ± s.e.m. of 10 rats per group, performed in 2 different experimental sets carried out by experimenters blinded to the treatments. **P < 0.01 vs vehicle + vehicle; ^^P < 0.01 vs oxaliplatin + vehicle.
