Changes in Nitrate reductase (NR) and Glutamine synthetase (GS) enzymatic activities in leaves of C. quinoa growing under different N supplies. Enzyme activities are expressed as mol of metabolite generated (\({{\rm{NO}}}_{2}^{-}\) and γ-glutamyl hydroxamate for NR and GS respectively) per mg of protein per unit of time. Additional details are provided in the Methods section. Values are mean ± SE (n = 4). Different letters indicate significant differences among genotypes and treatments using a two-way ANOVA at a P < 0.05.
