Dependence of the group delay τgr on the barrier width L for the selected frequencies Ω and for two different strengths of interface exchange coupling \({\tilde{A}}_{{\rm{mb}}}\) between the barrier and matrix. The first column (a,c) presents the results for intermediate strength of the coupling (which can be reduced to the case where the natural boundary conditions are applicable). The second column (b,d) shows the results in the regime of week coupling (for which the Hoffmann boundary conditions can be used). The saturation of the group delay, being the signature of HE, appears in the tunnelling regime (Ωm < Ω < Ωb) and is shown in more details in (c,d). The calculations were performed for the same values of \({\tilde{M}}_{{\rm{S}}}\) = 1 and Aex = 1 in the barrier and matrix. The parameters of the barrier are the same as the ones used in Fig. 2.
