Regions correlated with MD and collectivism scores. The present results were determined based on an FWE-corrected threshold of P < 0.05 with a TFCE based on 5000 permutations; the results were corrected at the whole-brain level. Regions showing correlations were overlaid on a single T1 image in the SPM8 toolbox. The red-to-yellow colour scale indicates the strength of the TFCE value for the positive correlation between the MD and collectivism scores; areas with significant correlations were identified in the left DLPFC (a), the right globus pallidus (b), STG (c), calcarine (d), and vPCC (e).
