Combination treatment significantly inhibits tumour colony formation. (A–C) Clonogenic assays showing HCT116, DLD1 and HT29 cells lines treated with 5-FU (1 μg/ml) and thiostrepton (Thio) (1 μM) alone or in combination for 72 hours, followed by media replacement and culture for 14 days. The combination of 5-FU and thiostrepton significantly decreases colony formation in HCT116, DLD1 and HT29 cells. Data were represented as mean ± SD (n = 3). ***p < 0.0001.
