From: Characterization of polydactyly chondrocytes and their use in cartilage engineering
Gene expression and matrix protein deposition by infant polydactyly chondrocytes encapsulated in 1, 2 and 3% w/v HA-TG and cultured for 3 weeks in vitro in chondrogenic media. Gene expression of collagen 2, collagen 1 and aggrecan was evaluated for infant chondrocytes encapsulated at 5, 10 and 15 million cells/ml, while protein deposition is shown for the 15 million cells/ml concentration only.
