The methane gas uptake during hydrate formation in CH4-H2O-NaCl system in the first 600 min from the nucleation event. The dominant gas uptake for hydrate forming systems with 0.0, 0.5 and 1.5 wt% NaCl, while it occurred in two stages for 3.0 and 5.0 wt% NaCl. The inset shows recorded temporal variations in temperature (orange) and gas uptake for 0.0 and 5.0 wt% NaCl.
