  1. Segmentation included the entire cartilage sample (ECS) as well as superficial (sf) and deep (dp) zones. Upon log-transformation, repeated measures ANOVA was used to detect differences between δ0 (unloaded), δ2.5 (2.5 mm displacement) and δ5.0 (5.0 mm displacement). Data are mean ± standard deviation [ms] and p-value. Significant differences are displayed in bold-type followed by consecutive numbers indicating post-test details (see Supplementary Table S1). Abbreviations as in Table 1.
