Reversibility of hydrophobin coating. DewA coated Obernkirchen sandstone (A) and Balegem limestone (B) were incubated for one day (blue) or three days (orange) in 70% ethanol or 1% SDS. Absorption of water droplets was measured after the treatment and compared with the “untreated” data. Data shown as mean ± standard deviation (n = 3).
