Serum levels and ROC analysis of altered metabolites. Differences between patients who were alive and those who died within three months after onset of AHF were tested with the Mann-Whitney U test. Absolute concentrations were used to calculate ROC curves for distinct metabolites and to assess the prognostic value of the distinct metabolites for 3-month mortality.
