WKYMVm increased cell proliferation in pulmonary endothelial and epithelial cells. (ac) Cell proliferation and cell migration assays in human pulmonary microvascular endothelial cell line (HULEC-5a), primary murine pulmonary endothelial and epithelial cells, respectively. Cell proliferation was evaluated by CCK-8 assay, and the results were expressed as relative proliferation rate (%) to control group. Cell migration was evaluated after scratching the monolayer of the cells. Quantitative data is provided by calculating the gap width of scratch re-population after incubating 24 hours compared with the initial gap size at 0 hour. Images were taken at a magnification of 100 × (scale bar, 100 µm). Data are given as mean ± SD. *P < 0.05 vs. control group. #P < 0.05 vs. H2O2-exposed control group.
