Distribution of tubulin in cells treated with the fraction 11-3(1) (82% mycalolide A). HeLa cells were treated with or without 67 ng/ml. The fraction 11-3(1) (82% mycalolide A) for 10 min. After fixation, cells were stained with Hoechst 33342, anti-tubulin, and phalloidin. Spikes appeared in mycalolide A-treated cells containing tubulin but not F-actin (arrowheads), unlike filopodia in untreated cells. Bars, 10 μm.
