Wettability assessment by liquid squeezing. Illustration (A) shows a schematic diagram of the experiment from biofilm formation to wettability assessment. After the biofilm formation, the liquid covering the sample dish was squeezed by air-jet application from an air nozzle. Then, the surface wettability was assessed using the size of the liquid squeezed area. Photograph (B) is an overview of the experimental setup during liquid squeezing by air-jet application.
