(a) Representative series of images depicting the live-cell imaging of cells during the detergent extraction experiment using 1.5% Triton X-100. ATG16L1-knockout cells expressing p62-pEGFP and RFP-LC3 were subjected to rapid detergent extraction by addition of 1.5% Triton X-100. The cells were imaged in a time series every 15 seconds for 1½ minutes. (b) Representative western blot showing the presence of LC3-I as well as p62 in the insoluble fraction of ATG16L1-knockout cells. The blot also shows the lack of ATG16L1 expression in ATG16L1-CRISPR knockout cells and a corresponding increase in the p62 levels in these cells.
