Dashed lines represent the predicted in-vitro pharmacokinetic profiles obtained by the user interface, which is required for the selection of the pump settings. Shaded areas and solid lines in the concentration vs. time profile plots (top panels) represent the geometric mean and 95%-predicition intervals of a typical profile in humans.
