Nature of bacterial twitching with different pili distributions: (a) MSD power for different pili angles and pili numbers (MSD = Ktn, where n is the MSD power, K is a constant, and t is the time); (b) When the bacterium is pulled by the pili for an extended period of time, the bacterium gradually gets inclined to the surface and if the period is long enough the bacterium would reach to a vertical orientation. The trajectory of the leading and trailing poles is shown for pili number is 2 and the pili angle is 30 deg.
