EGF expression on TAM subsets in OSSC patients. (A) The number of EGF⁺ cells and (B) EGF expression (MFI, mean fluorescent intensity) on TAM subsets. The number and MFI of EGF⁺ cells were determined using flow cytometry (n = 5 for each subset). (C) The concentration of EGF in conditioned medium (CM) of each TAM subset was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (n = 7 for each subset). Cells were cultivated as described in Materials and Methods. Controls were only DMEM 2% FBS without TAM subset. Statistically significant differences between groups were determined by Kruskal-Wallis test (*P < 0.05, **P < 0.01).
