Multilayer network of broadly aggregated activities. The network includes 23 scientific major categories, 25 technological sub-sections, and 21 product sections. Links are obtained using a significance level of 99.999%. To increase the signal-to-noise ratio, we compute B as the average of three consecutive years in the middle of our sample (2008–2010). Red triangular nodes represent technologies, yellow squared nodes represent scientific fields and finally blue circle nodes represent the export of products. The node sizes are proportional to their degree.
