SPION-DHP and SPION-DMSA in Prussian blue reaction. (A) SPION-DHP (left) and SPION-DMSA (right) at 0.1 mg/mL concentration in PBS. (B) SPION-DHP (left) and SPION-DMSA (right) after 10 minutes incubation in Potassium Ferrocyanide and Hydrochloric Acid Solution (IRON STAIN Solution, Sigma Aldrich, MO, USA). Ionic iron of DMSA-NP reacted with acid ferrocyanide producing a blue color.
