Specificity is calculated as the true positive rate divided by the sum of true positives and false negatives (TP/TP + FN)), and sensitivity is calculated as the false positive rate divided by the sum of false positives and true negatives (FP/(FP + TN)). In the case of this data, true negatives are trials where participants judge their touch to happen first when it actually happened first, and true positives are trials where participants judge their partner’s touch to happen first when it actually happened first.
