Three-dimensional orientation (top and bottom left) and morphology (top and bottom right) maps of the crystal grains of the Fe and Cu samples, respectively. The grains are colour-coded in accordance with their orientation based on the inverse pole figure colour map for a top view (positive z-direction) on the specimen. The shaded areas around the grains represent the shape of each sample. The small schematics given at the top and bottom of the figure show the volume area of each sample that was effectively illuminated by the neutron beam.
