The adapter precursor sequence. Primers APS-F and APS-R were used for PCR-amplification of the adapter precursor sequence. Uppercase sequence, marked in underline, consists of 12 restriction sites, used for preparing different adapters. Two lowercase sequences are reverse-complemented, and provide nested primers AP1 and AP2 to the adapter.
