Synthesis of SnO2/a-C core-shell structure. SnO2 was formed via thermal evaporation of Sn powder using a Au catalyst on an alumina substrate, and the a-C thin film was obtained by applying a spark to water, which was drained and deposited on the SnO2 NWs.
