The decomposition of RIOA difference spectra into Gaussian components (thin lines) for an MgAl2O4 single crystal (a) or ceramic sample (b, grain size of 12 μm)) irradiated by fast neutrons and 100-keV protons, respectively. The difference spectra represent the decrease of RIOA caused by the preheated of the irradiated sample from 490 to 697 K (part a) and from 546 to 747 K (b). Symbols (ooo) depict experimental points and solid line − a fitted curve.
