DiI stained neurons and neuronal processes in a porcine brain sample cleared with hFRUIT. Panels show different planes from the same z-stack imaged with CLSM (10x magnification). Despite the increasing background over depth, cell bodies and processes are visible up to at least 1500 µm (white arrows).
