NMP treatment reduces macrophages infiltration and inflammation. Lesions were stained for biomarkers of macrophages (CD68; yellow), SMCs (α-actinin; green) and stressed endothelium (Vcam-1; red); nuclei were stained with DAPI (blue). Merged images are also shown.
