In ROC curve comparisons, the AUC of ΔLPC (D1–D0) was higher than SOFA (AUC 0.7 vs. 0.67, p = 0.712) or APACHE II score (AUC 0.7 vs. 0.692, p = 0.916) for predicting 28-day mortality, although there is no statistical difference.
