Redundancy analysis between soil C and the soil microorganisms in the 0–10 cm soil layer (a) and 10–20 cm soil layer (b). The environmental variables involved in the analysis included total soil organic C (SOC), the SOC fractions (ROC represents readily oxidizable organic C, and NROC represents non-readily oxidizable organic C), total nitrogen (TN) and total phosphorus (TP). The species variables included the relative abundances of PLFAs of total bacteria (B), gram-positive bacteria (GP), gram-negative bacteria (GN), fungi (F), actinomycetes (A) and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF). The sample number (n) was 18 for each of the two soil layers. In both panels, the different symbols represent the different forest sites.
