Volume-of-interest settings of bilateral parietal bone. Bilateral parietal bone SUVmax was calculated for the representative patient (No. 22) by setting the volume of interest within a 12-pixel cube (62.1 cm3). In all cases, the parietal bones were less susceptible to odontogenic infections and were suitable for intact bone assessment. GI-BONE, the bone SPECT quantitative analysis software, included in the medical device software package named AZE Virtual Place Hayabusa Ver.9.0 (Canon medical systems Co., Ltd., Tochigi, Japan) was used.
