Reformatted conventional computed tomography along the plane of the “Cochlear View” by a multiplanar reconstruction algorithm. (a) Based on the “Cochlear View”, qualitative assessments of the slim modiolar electrode array were compared between the two resolution indices of UR59 (low resolution index, upper panel) and UR81 (high resolution index, low panel) in terms of imaging sharpness and overall subjective image quality. (b) For quantitative assessments, the noise level of the region of interest (yellow line) obtained by the middle turn of the cochlea was compared between conventional computed tomography with two different tomographic resolutions using ultra-high kernel specification.
