  1. The individual (Indiv) was included as a random factor. We present the most parsimonious selected model with ΔAIC < 2. K total number of parameters (explanatory terms + random term + residual deviance), AIC corrected Akaike information criterion, ΔAIC difference between the AIC value for that model and the best model, W Akaike weight. Biological traits included: flight activity measured through the rate of fix perched (RPF), age (Age), territorial status (Territ), breeding season (Br_S) and sex (Sex). Technical variables were transmitter usage time (T_PTT) and duty cycle (Dcycle), and environmental variables were topographic altitude, surface solar radiation, and total precipitation.
