Pod-Med22 podocytes are sensitive to stress and respond by vesicle formation. (A) After induction of glomerular injury by nephrotoxic serum, both pod-Med22 and control mice develop massive albuminuria and no significant difference is detected between the groups. (B,C) In histological analysis 14 days after the induction of glomerulonephritis, significantly more sclerotic lesions were detected in pod-Med22 mice.
