From: Resveratrol improves motor function in patients with muscular dystrophies: an open-label, single-arm, phase IIa study

Figure 3

Muscle strength following resveratrol administration. (ac) Time course of muscle strength for (a) scapula elevation (N = 10), (b) shoulder abduction (N = 5), and (c) pinch (N = 11) measured by quantitative muscle testing (QMT) using a hand-held dynamometer and pinch strength metre before (Pre) and 8, 16, and 24 weeks after resveratrol administration. The daily dose of each patient is also shown, except that one patient with FCMD (FCMD 12 y) received 1000 instead of 1500 mg/day. Black lines show mean values. Average values at each visit were compared with those before medication and were analysed using ANOVA. Post hoc analysis was performed using Dunnett’s test. P values < 0.05 are indicated. NS: not significant.
