Area of carbonylated lysine positive staining in the vascular wall of normal and AAA aorta. Surgically resected specimen of the normal aorta (N = 5, M/F = 5/0) and AAA vascular wall (N = 9, M/F = 9/0) were subjected to immunostaining by anti-N-acetyl FDP-Lysine. The area of positive staining in AAA was significantly larger than that in the normal aorta. **Unpaired t-test, p < 0.001.
