Table 2 Novel marmoset E. coli genomes have similar statistics as pathogenic, pks-encoding E. coli strains IHE3034 and NC101, and cnf-encoding uropathogenic E. coli strain UTI89. Virulence factor genes for toxins, survival factors, and adhesins, as well as antibiotic resistance genes, were identified in the marmoset E. coli genomes.
