Stimuli appeared on the screen for 150 ms followed by an inter-stimulus interval (ISI) of 1500 ms, summing up to a total trial duration of 1650 ms. Participants were instructed to press the space bar to all presented stimuli (i.e., letters and red squares) except the letter ‘X’.
