The eDNA concentration is log\(_{10}\) transformed, and it is primarily a vertical bimodal distribution with peaks centered around the day depth (500 m) and the night depth (50 m). Diurnal variability (orange vs. yellow) induced by organism migration can be seen at 50 m and 500 m. Panel a) shows the whole 90-day simulation and panel b) shows the first 7 days of the same simulation.
