From: miRNA-200c-3p targets talin-1 to regulate integrin-mediated cell adhesion

A schematic model for the regulatory role played by the miR-200c-3p-mediated TLN1 alteration underlying integrin-mediated cell adhesion. Talin-1 (TLN1) binding to the cytoplasmic tail activates integrins to induce cell adhesion to ligands such as fibronectin. Downregulation of talin-1 by elevated miR-200c-3p suppresses integrin activation and results in decreased cell adhesion to the ligand. By contrast, upregulation of talin-1 by reduced miR-200c-3p levels enhances integrin-mediated cell adhesion.
