Na⁺/K⁺-ATPase stains all structures in the sensory unit (red); myelin basic protein (MBP) stains the myelin sheath (green) and co-staining shows yellow. Each red ball shaped end formation (a compact flower spray) is a receptor, demonstrated by a myelinated axon termination.
